This project is a great idea for a mother's day gift, an end of the school year teacher gift, or just even simply for a friend's birthday. If anyone else is like me and can't remember dates very well, this is a great little cheat sheet. I have so many birthdays I like to keep track of and this booklet makes it so simple and convenient

Step 1: I printed off these monthly calendar sheets from a website I found. I printed them off 4 on a page and trimmed closely around the edges which made each one about 3 1/2 X 5.

Step 2: I used a thin piece of white posterboard for my accordian booklet. You will want to cut this into one long strip as long and as wide as you like to fit your calendar print offs. Measure and mark off your sections where you will want to make a fold. You need 6 sections and I folded mine a little bit bigger than my printoffs to show the colored background.

Step 3: Choose whatever colored paper you want to have for the background. I chose 6 different colors of paper and kept the same pattern going on the front and the back. I also inked around the edges in brown.

Step 4: Using my Sticky Thumb tape runner, I stuck all the colored squares onto my accordian booklet, then put all the calendar printoffs on top of that.

Step 5: I stuck on a few buttons with my tape runner for some embellishments on the front and the back. Fold up the booklet and add a piece of stretchy cord or ribbon to tie it together. You could keep it tied together till you need a reminder, or just leave the open booklet out on your desk or counter.

Another cute idea to display your birthday calendar list is on a mini clipboard. I modpodged some scrapbook paper onto the clipboard & printed out the birthday lists two per page making them about 5X7 in size. You could display the clipboard on a stand or easel. This will definately help me not have to send out any more of those dreadful "Belated Birthday" cards cause now I'm on on top of it!
