Paper Bag

I think this is the cutest paper bag ever! All it takes is two 12X12 sheets of paper. Great for birthday gifts, baby gifts, card swap.....etc. Now you never have to run to the store last minute to find a gift bag for your presant, simply make your own.

What you will need:

-Two double sided 12X12 sheets of scrapbook paper (Make sure both sheets are matching print)
-Scorer
-Sticky Thumb Tape Runner
-Sticky Thumb Dimensionals
-Matching Ribbon
-Embellishments

Instructions:
1) Score each 12X12 paper at 2” across the top, and 3” on other three sides.2) On both sheets, fold over the top of the paper at your 2” score line.3) Next fold the scored 3” lines to give them their crease. You will fold these towards the inside (the opposite direction of the top 2” score.
4) On one sheet, you will cut out the two bottom squares where the 3” score lines cross each other. On the other sheet you will simply make a cut going up the bottom two sides but stop when you reach the 3” score line going across.5) Using your tape runner, glue the two square open flaps underneath the bottom of the long flap. This is what the inside will look like after the bottom is put together.6) Take the other piece of paper and using your tape runner glue the bottom flap underneath the bottom of the opposite sheet. You should see that the inside and outside bottom of the bag don’t have any seams showing.7) With the side of the bag laying flat (not the one standing up forming the square bag) you will want to glue the bottom half of the side, don’t take the runner all the way to the top or it will stick when you try to tuck in into the top.8) You want to tuck the side that has glue on it underneath the folded down flap of the other piece and tuck it in all the way so it’s flush on the outside.Repeat on the other side. This is what the outside and inside should look like.9) Next you will want to punch two holes in the top on each side for the ribbon handles. Just eyeball the distance. Make sure the ribbon on both side are the same length & tie knots on then ends of ribbon.10) Last step you can accessorize your bag with any embellishments of your choice. I used some die-cut flowers and stuck them on with the Sticky Thumb Dimensionals to give it a fun pop-up appearance. You are finished… Whalaa! Super cute isn't it!
